AUSTIN

We are taking a trip down south to Austin for our very first hike in Texas! We will be enjoying a day of hiking and picnicking at McKinney Falls State Park - only 10 miles from DT Austin.

We will begin our hike at 9:00 am where we will complete between 3 - 4 miles of hiking at an easy pace. This hike features beautiful views of water cascades, limestone rocks, wildlife and, much more!

After our hike, we will grab a picnic table at the Smith Family Picnic Area where we'll enjoy some snacks, beverages, and giveaways provided by REI and Gossamer Gear.

Difficulty: Easy-Moderate

Fees: $6/per adult 

Children & well-behaved pups are welcome! 

What to bring/wear: A water bottle and sunscreen. Please wear comfortable clothes and shoes (and waterproof shoes, if possible) that you don't mind getting sweaty in. 

Bathrooms: Available

Accessibility: Upperfalls viewing area is paved but is up a steep hill. The other trails are not wheelchair accessible. The picnic area is wheelchair accessible.
